WiTalk9 for Easy Communication in Commercial Shoot

2025-03-31 15:37
"The downside? I wish I had 300 of them," says Amit jokingly about the downside of WiTalk9. Amit is the owner of Apex Media, an Israeli company that specializes in filmmaking, directing, and producing. Early in 2025, he and his team were commissionedby a local food delivery company to do a commercial shoot. Using WiTalk9 to keep everyone on the same page, Amit had an easy communication experience.

The Challenges

Before incorporating WiTalk9 into Amit's filmmaking, efficiency, privacy, and his throat were to suffer due to the lack of an efficient intercom system, as explained by Amit:

"On productions, we had to shout or call each other to communicate. Everytime when I wanted to say something to the camera crew without the actors hearing, I had to take everyone aside, which delayed the process. And sometimes I had to search for the crew around the set, which slowed us down."

The WiTalk9 Experience

"The advantage of WiTalk9 is that I no longer struggle to communicate with my team. I can easily stay in touch with them at significant moments," says Amit. "In shooting the commercial, I didn't have to struggle for a moment to shout or search for crew members. All I had to do was lower the microphone, say a name, and I got an immediate response. This allowed us to communicate seamlessly."

WiTalk9 is a single-ear wireless intercom headset system that allows up to 9 people to communicate at the same time, over a line-of-sight distance of 500 meters (1000 meters it would be should a master headset be positioned in the middle of two remotes that were moving away from each other in opposite directions). It features a microphone boom that users may simply pull down to start talking and up to mute themselves in an intuitive way.
